Job summary

LEARN is seeking a General Accountant to perform a range of accounting and fiscal reporting duties for LEARN and its member districts. You will work with management to implement policies and maintain end-to-end accounting operations.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and willingness to travel to member districts for on-site support. A bachelor's degree in accounting and several years of governmental accounting experience are preferred;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
• Five years of governmental accounting experience (preferred)
• Not-for-profit accounting experience considered
• MUNIS experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve open items.
• Prepare and monitor invoicing and collections for LEARN programs.
• Provide AP/AR, grant accounting, and payroll support for member districts; travel required.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Prepare auditor support documents including capital assets and lease schedules.
• Process weekly deposits and enter activity in the MUNIS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
