Job summary

Ciling CJ America Inc. is seeking an Accounting Coordinator in Downers Grove, IL to produce accurate financial records, support day-to-day accounting operations, and assist with month-end closings and audits. The role emphasizes analytical thinking, collaboration, and adherence to company policies.

You will handle accounts receivable, data accuracy, vendor/customer master data, and standard reconciliation tasks while maintaining confidentiality and supporting cross-departmental budgeting needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Associate’s degree with 2 years directly related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years related experience.
  • SAP experience preferred. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Support finance team creating and editing financial documents.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing journal entries and supporting schedules.
  • Support audits by analyzing financial information and identifying discrepancies with proper documentation.
  • Prepare and verify accounting processes for payment with accurate reconciliation.
  • Monitor budget system entries in the ERP and support other departments with budget inquiries.
  • Support accounts receivable duties and share status with related departments.
  • Monitor outstanding balances by creating weekly reports and issuing collection notices for overdue accounts.
  • Assist in evaluating corporate credit limits, payment terms, and credit risk exposure.
  • Manage vendor and customer master data setup in compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee corporate credit card application, issuance, and account administration.
  • Maintain travel expense policies and monitor cost controls.
  • Train new staff on reimbursement procedures and accounting workflows as needed.
  • Assist with accounting control by following policies and legal requirements.
  • Act as liaison between accounting and internal/external parties.
  • Maintain and safeguard accounting records and files.
  • Data entry into the financial system.
  • Organize the bookkeeping processes of the company.

Job Summary

The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for creating accurate and timely financial records for the company. This includes preparing day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, general ledger reconciliations, and vendor/customer master data management to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the company. Additionally, this role supports month-end closing, audit requests, and compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory standards. This individual should be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy.

Job Qualifications, Education and Experience:
