United Talent Staffing is seeking an Accounting Clerk for a Charleston, WV area company. The role covers accounts payable, reconciliation, and routine clerical support in the finance department.

The position is a contract-to-perm opportunity with a daytime schedule. The ideal candidate has an accounting background, strong Excel/Word skills, and attention to detail to ensure accurate processing and reporting.

Formación

• Associate degree in Accounting with at least 15 accounting credits.
• At least 1 year in accounts payable or similar accounting environment.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality skills.

Responsabilidades

• Verify payment registers for accuracy and prepare for check processing.
• Process monthly Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) and utility checks on the 1st and 15th of each month.
• Generate reports for management review.
• Verify tenant account receivables and daily bank deposits.
• Assist with tenant account maintenance including payments, move-ins/outs, transfers and refunds.
• Enter, upload, and print checks for purchase orders and vendor invoices.
• Process manual checks and online payments; void invoices or checks when necessary.
• File paid and approved invoices.
• Process negative rent reports and print checks on the 10th of each month.
• Post late fees and generate tenant notices on the 5th of each month.
• Process, print, and mail rent statements on the 25th of each month.
• Assist with month-end preparation including balancing transfers, security deposits, and summaries.
• Upload monthly Daily Statement of Operations (DSO) and interface with the General Ledger.
