Job summary

Larry H. Miller Real Estate is offering an Accounting Clerk Intern position at our Sandy, Utah location. The internship provides hands-on experience in accounting within a real estate context and will run from May 2027 through August 2027.

The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an accredited university or college program in Accounting, Finance, or an MBA, and can commit to a part-time schedule (25–29 hours per week). Internship is ineligible for regular employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited University/College in Accounting, Finance, or MBA program.
• Must be able to commute to Sandy, Utah and work in person.
• Part-time status (25-29 hours on average) during May 2027 – August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting tasks such as processing daily bank deposits and maintaining general ledger and sub-ledgers reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with valuation work and data compilation.
• Support the team with financial analysis projects and data management.
• Assist in preparing timely financial statements.

Internship Details:

• Duration: May 10, 2027 - August 6, 2027
• $22.00 hourly
• Part-time status (25 -29 hours on average)
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited University/College in Accounting, Finance, or MBA program
• Must be able to commute to and from Sandy, Utah office and work in person

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily accounting work, such as processing daily bank deposits or maintaining accurate general ledger and sub-ledgers account reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assist with valuation work and data compilation
• Support the team with various financial analysis projects
• Clean up records in the accounting system for accuracy
• Assist with data management
• Assist and support where necessary to ensure timely preparation of financial statements
• Perform other duties as required by management
• Assist the accounting team in day-to-day workload
• Attending internship activities
• Learn to use accounting systems and how corporate accounting/finance operates
• Financial modeling and analysis as directed

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily an in-office setting; required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about office setting
• Must have the ability to read and comprehend large quantities of information, operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and carry up to 25 lbs. independently
• To perform other duties as required
