Job summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support the dealership's finance team. The role involves entering financial transactions, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger entries to ensure accurate records.

You will review invoices, assist with reconciliations, and help prepare reports for decision-making while coordinating with vendors and internal teams. Prior accounting experience is preferred, with opportunity for growth in a dynamic automotive

Qualifications

• Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred; automotive industry a plus.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills; high accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software.

Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks to support the dealership's financial operations.

• Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Review, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors and suppliers.
• Assist with reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and analysis as needed to support management decision-making.
• Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing issues, payment discrepancies, and other financial inquiries.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, photocopying, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred; experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
