Job summary

Northtown Automotive Companies is seeking an accounting assistant to manage the recording of vehicle sales, dealer trades, and after-sale items. You will review deals for accuracy, log commissions, and reconcile MIS data with Excel reports.

Responsibilities include entering factory invoices into ADP, tracking incentives, maintaining schedules, and handling basic check-writing. This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule within our NY operations.

Qualifications

• Accounting experience or general accounting background required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
• Detail oriented with strong accuracy in records and calculations.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, verbal and written.
• Comfortable using smartphone, tablet, and PC for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Record the sale of New & Used vehicles, dealer trades, wholesales, and after-sale items.
• Review deals for accuracy and record profit and commission; enter data into ADP.
• Maintain daily logs of sales commissions, daily deal summaries, and cross-sales.
• Reconcile computer MIS reports to the sales log (Excel report).
• Enter factory invoices into ADP and file hard copies.
• Record incentive money to be received and payments of incentive money.
• Maintain schedules for accounts and reconcile regularly; check-writing tasks.
• Provide monthly summary of sales tax collected and assist floorplan requests/payments.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, business hours; accounting oriented responsibilities.
