Accounting Clerk: *PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS ON ONSITE*

Summary:

Morgan & Morgan is looking for an Accounting Clerk for our Downtown Nashville office who will report directly to the Accounting Manager and collaborate with senior-level Attorneys. This individual will ensure that the case side of accounting is run with efficiency and accuracy while providing effective and responsive support to our internal legal team.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Funds Deposits
  • Expense Authorization for Cost Disbursements
  • Facilitate disbursements of funds according to Client Closing Statement
  • Manage Shared Mailbox – handling requests timely
  • Data entry utilizing Excel / NetSuite Banking Application
  • Verifying the Finalization of all Case Transactions before Month End Close (30-day Calendar Close)
  • Point of Contact for Case-related questions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • Critical Thinker
  • Ability to work in a fun, fast-paced office environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
  • Progressive Work Experience preferred
  • Team player
