We are currently hiring for an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will assist the Controller with the financial activities of our hotels, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Responsibilities include supporting daily accounting tasks, training new team members, and managing credit, billing, collection activities, as well as general cashier duties. The role involves interacting with guests professionally to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required; a two-year accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience/Skills: Hospitality experience preferred, with core competencies in accounts receivable, income audit, accounts payable, payroll, and cashiering. Proficiency in Excel and attention to detail are essential. Experience with Yardi Voyager, Kronos, UltiPro, Opera PMS, Micros POS, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Income Audit: review night audit work, ensure posting accuracy, review adjustments, reconcile credit card activity, and prepare financial reports for management.
  • Accounts Receivable: process invoices, maintain aging reports, follow up on past due accounts, and handle credit card inquiries.
  • Accounts Payable: process invoices, monitor department spending, review capital project invoices, and employee expenses.
  • Cash Deposits: count deposits, report discrepancies, prepare bank deposits, and perform monthly counts.
  • Payroll: review records, ensure management approval, record employee time, and compile payroll packages.
  • Month-End Closing: complete checklists, ensure timely operations, review financial statements, and participate in special projects as assigned.
