Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies is seeking an experienced accounting clerk to perform general accounting duties, including routine and non-recurring calculations, reconciliations, cash balancing, verifications, and postings. This onsite role is based in Boston, GA, and requires a high level of accuracy and knowledge of fundamental accounting principles.

The ideal candidate will enter data into multiple accounting systems, manage reconciliations, verify transaction accuracy, and support AR/AP functions while

Qualifications

• Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, AR, AP, and budgets.
• Able to use Microsoft Office and internet at a proficient level.
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems used for general ledgers and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Enters data into general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory systems.
• Reconciles accounts, identifies discrepancies, and determines corrective actions.
• Verifies accuracy of information in transactions, researches issues, and recommends corrections.
• Analyzes and processes documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicates with others to answer accounting questions or resolve issues.
• Assists other coworkers with related tasks as necessary.
• May specialize in AR, AP, or John Deere settlements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experienced accounting clerk needed to perform general accounting duties including routine and non-recurring calculations, reconciliations, cash balancing, verifications, and postings while ensuring accuracy and validity in the accounting processes. Onsite position in Boston, GA.

Job Duties

• Enters data into various accounting systems or accounts including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory
• Reconciles various accounts which includes identifying discrepancies and determining corrective action
• Verifies accuracy of information used in select accounting transactions such as researching incorrect information, determining the proper accounting treatment, and recommending corrections to the transaction originator
• Analyzes and processes documents after examining for completeness and accuracy
• Communicates with others in the organization to answer accounting questions or resolve issues
• Assists other co-workers with related tasks as necessary
• May specialize in areas such as accounts payable or accounts receivable or John Deere settlements
• And other duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements

• Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and the internet
• Ability to use various computer programs specific to the position
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 4 year Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline preferred
