Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking an Accounting Associate Manager to support the Reporting and Budgeting Manager and act as a financial liaison across departments. The role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with a strong emphasis on accuracy and process improvement.

You will supervise Senior Accountants, develop staff, and ensure timely delivery of analyses and reports. Illinois location; hybrid work arrangement with bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Demonstrated technical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial reports and perform ad hoc analyses.
• Develop and maintain Excel analyses and reports with advanced functions.
• Identify improvement opportunities and relay recommendations to management.
• Review monthly exception reports for policy compliance.
• Participate in annual forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Perform monthly account review and variance analysis.
• Review general ledger transactions for accuracy and proper recording.
• Supervise staff and support their development and training.
• Ensure deadlines are met and staff workload is balanced.
