Job summary

Wellthy is seeking an Accounting Associate I to support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, including transaction entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll data entry, working closely with the Accounting Manager and other Finance team members.

You will enter transactions in QuickBooks Online, follow up on invoices, process vendor invoices in Ramp, assist with payroll in Rippling, and participate in month-end across the close cycle. This role is remote within the US.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support role.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong process discipline.
• Proficient with macOS, GSuite, and QuickBooks Online.
• Willing to learn and experiment with AI to improve workflow.
• Experience with Ramp, Rippling, Slack is a plus.
• Healthcare or Technology industry knowledge is preferred.
• Remote work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter day-to-day transactions into QuickBooks Online and process payments.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist AR aging and collections.
• Enter vendor invoices into Ramp and track approvals through to payment.
• Support payroll processing in Rippling by compiling timesheets and pay data.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare materials for audits and help with 401(k) documentation.
• Assist fellow team members with ad-hoc accounting projects as needed.

Wellthy is seeking an Accounting Associate I to support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, including transaction entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll data entry, working closely with and under the guidance of the Accounting Manager and other Finance team members.

Responsibilities will include:

• Enter day-to-day transactions into QuickBooks Online, including credit card activity and incoming payments, following established procedures and templates
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist with collections, keeping the AR aging report up to date and escalating issues as needed
• Enter vendor invoices into Ramp using provided expense accounts, classes, and approvers, and track invoices through to payment
• Support weekly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle payroll processing in Rippling by compiling timesheets, PTO, and other pay data for review
• Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close activities, including basic workpaper preparation and filing
• Help gather and organize supporting documentation for annual financial statement and 401(k) audits
• Assist fellow Accounting team members with special projects as needed

• Have experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support role (internships considered)
• Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Are highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to follow established processes and procedures accurately
• Are proficient with macOS systems, GSuite, and QuickBooks Online
• Are open to learning, experimenting, and evolving, with curiosity around how tools like AI can support your workflow
• Have prior exposure to Slack, Ramp, and/or Rippling (preferred but not mandatory)
• Have experience or knowledge of accounting within the Healthcare or Technology industry (preferred)
• Have experience working in a remote environment (preferred)

Total Compensation

The starting salary for this position is $42,000-$50,000.
