Accounting Associate - CAAS Construction

Job summary

CLA is seeking an Associate to join the CAAS (Construction Industry) team based out of one of the listed offices including Raleigh, NC. You will support client service, process day-to-day transactions, and assist with month-end and quarterly/annual activities for construction-related clients.

Bachelor's degree is required; accounting/financial experience is preferred. This role offers exposure to multiple offices and a collaborative, growth-oriented advisory practice.

Responsibilities

• Client service: handle multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts.
• Day to day transactions: process accounts payable, cash disbursements, AR, cash receipts, payroll.
• Month end processing: complete financial statements and reconciliations.
• Quarterly/annual processing: prepare sales tax returns and 1099s as requested.

CLA is currently seeking an Associate to join our CAAS (Construction Industry) team based out of one of the following offices: Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; or St. Louis, MO.

Job Responsibilities:

• Client Service: Gains ability to handle multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts daily, weekly and monthly basis.

• Day to Day Transactions: Coordinates & processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.

• Month End Processing: Completes financial statements. Coordinates and completes account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals.) Completes complex account reconciliations that have been previously set up and supported by Senior Associate, Assistant Controller, Controller or CFO.

• Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other forms or items as requested by clients.

Job Requirements:

• Accounting and financial experience is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
