Job summary

Dana-co LLC, a women’s intimate apparel company, seeks a dependable Accounting Associate to join our finance team in Midtown Manhattan. This in-office role focuses on day-to-day transactions, accurate recordkeeping, and supporting various accounting functions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on accounting experience in a small or midsize company, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • One to three years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or similar experience.
  • Experience working within a small or midsize company is strongly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and organizing financial data.
  • Experience using accounting or ERP software; QuickBooks or similar system experience is a plus.
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to identify discrepancies.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness to perform both detailed accounting work and routine administrative tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

  • Support the preparation of internal financial reports and audit documentation.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting files.
  • Perform data entry and provide administrative support to the finance department.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external vendors regarding accounting matters.
  • Handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as needed.

Dana-co, a women’s intimate apparel company, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our finance team. This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on accounting experience in a small or midsize company who enjoys managing day‑to‑day transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a variety of accounting functions.

Location

Midtown Manhattan, near the Empire State Building. This is an in‑office position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities
