Job summary

Open Bank is seeking an Assistant Accounting Officer to help manage day-to-day general accounting activities and keep the accounting system up-to-date in line with GAAP. You will prepare financial reports for management, auditors, and regulators, while supporting the accounting department in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves balancing and reconciling general ledger accounts, maintaining cash balances in Due from Banks, and contributing to reports such as balance sheets, income

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in bank accounting preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in balancing general ledger and reviewing daily general ledger changes.
• Assist in reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Maintain cash balance in Due from Banks accounts.
• Assist in preparing timely and accurate financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement, net interest margin, risk based capital, and other various analyses.
