Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Worthington, Ohio to lead month-end closings and GAAP-compliant financial reporting. The role requires CPA certification and at least five years of accounting and payroll experience. You will work with Business Central and Ramp, manage fixed assets, and support audits and process improvements.

You will collaborate with management to produce timely analyses and maintain strong internal controls in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• Five years of general accounting and payroll experience.
• Experience with Business Central and Ramp preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing process including journal entry preparation and approval.
• Ensure all accounting adheres to GAAP and internal controls.
• Monitor, analyze, and report accounting data and financial statements.
• Prepare or approve balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Generate monthly financial statements and reports for management.
• Oversee payroll analysis and accounting for the business unit.
• Maintain Fixed Asset records and depreciation entries.
• Assist with year-end audit and process improvement initiatives.
