Job summary

City of San Luis is seeking an Accounting Analyst to perform complex accounting transactions, financial analysis, reconciliations, and preparation of fiscal reports under the guidance of the Accounting Manager.

You will support accounts payable, reconcile ledgers, process tax payments and wire transfers, and assist with budget development and year-end closing activities. Strong MS Office and accounting systems experience required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance or closely related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with budgets, audits, and year-end closing activities.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable processes: invoices and vendor payments.
• Reconcile, audit and post financial transactions.
• Process ACH returns, TPT payments, and wire transfers.
• Balance ledgers and post to general ledger; prepare recurring reports.
• Assist with budget development, administration and reporting.
• Support audits and reconciliations with detailed records.
• Prepare monthly and annual closing of books.
