Qualifications

• Accounting degree required.
• Zero to two years of accounting experience preferred.
• CPA aspirant is preferred.
• Strong aptitude for technology preferred.
• Desire to experiment with AI to improve business processes is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial close process and monthly reporting package.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for monthly adjusting entries.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Handle day-to-day general accounting tasks, including journal entries and month-end adjustments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Assist with inventory/cost accounting, fixed assets and other GL activities.

Our client is a Private Equity backed manufacturing and distribution company located on the southwest side of Houston. The company is extremely profitable and growing at a rapid pace, and they seek an Accounting Analyst to join their team to help support their growth. They seek a hard working professional with an Accounting degree. They will consider new grads up to two years of experience. Position Description:

• Assist with monthly financial close process, including monthly financial reporting package.
• Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for monthly adjusting entries.

• Perform day-to-day general accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries and other month-end adjustments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Assist with inventory/cost accounting, fixed asset accounting and other general ledger activities.

Requirements and Preferences:

• Accounting degree is required.
• Zero to two years of accounting experience is preferred.
• Someone who seeks to become a CPA is preferred.
• A strong aptitude for technology is preferred.
• A desire to experiment and utilize AI to make business processes more efficient is a huge plus.
