Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Interline Accounting Analyst in Dayton, OH to manage and reduce days sales outstanding by applying collection techniques to Interline receivables. The role focuses on accuracy, punctual carrier communications, and collaboration with internal teams.

The ideal candidate will review aging, contact carriers, correct billing issues, and ensure timely, quality service to internal and external customers while supporting continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar, or 3+ years of related professional experience.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Review aging for each carrier and manage outstanding receivables.
• Call Interline carriers to collect delinquent bills and manage returned mail.
• Correct billing rates before invoicing customers and review invoices for accuracy.
• Send supporting documents to customers when corrections are necessary and provide timely service.
• Respond to emails from Partners on terms, rates, reconsignments, and accessorials.
• Process 999 refunds and manage the Auditing Queue.
• Assist with Partnership Accounting duties and continuously look for process improvements.

Responsibilities

The reponsibility of the Interline Accounting Analyst is to manage and reduce the days of sales outstanding by using collection techniques on Interline receivables.

Principal Duties:

• Review aging for each carrier
• Manage returned mail
• Call Interline carriers to collect on delinquent bills
• Correct billing rates from the Outbound Collect Queue before invoicing customers
• Review and correct invoices as appropriate
• Send supporting documents to customers when corrections are necessary
• Provide quality customer service in a timely manner for all internal and external customers
• Manage Audit Correction reports from partners by updating terms, discounts, accessorials
• Respond to emails from Partners on terms, rates, reconsignments, returns and accessorials in a timely and professional manner
• Process 999 Refunds
• Manage the Auditing Queue
• Effectively handle special assignments as directedAbility to assist with the Partnership Accounting team job duties as needed
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes
