Job summary

The Wonderful Company LLC is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, CO-OP reporting and automation projects. You will partner with teams across the organization to ensure GAAP-compliant balances and robust controls.

Based in West Los Angeles, CA, the role features a hybrid schedule with in-office Monday-Wednesday and remote options Thursday and Friday. A strong accounting foundation and proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and Oracle are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years progressive accounting experience in a mid-to-large company.
• Proficient in MS Office including Outlook and Word.
• Intermediate Excel skills: Pivot Tables & XLOOKUP; macros a plus.
• Familiar with data tools (SQL, Power BI, Python, Tableau) and Oracle R-12.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, GL and accounting software.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to translate financial findings for partners.
• Energetic team player, goal oriented, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post standard journal entries, reconciliations, and regulatory reports with accuracy.
• Reconcile Oracle cash module weekly and manage CO-OP reporting/payments.
• Reconcile intercompany balances with BU partners; assist consolidation.
• Prepare daily cash projections and manage wires.
• Review invoicing expense coding for overhead departments.
• Prepare monthly GAAP reporting and consolidation with the company.
• Prepare interim/year-end audit schedules and tax packages.
• Mentor FARM Analysts and assist in automation projects.
• Identify automation opportunities and document processes with internal controls.

As a key member of the Accounting team, the Accounting Analyst provides critical support to drive business results and will have the opportunity to grow with the team. The individual will participate in the monthly close process, balance sheet reconciliations, CO-OP reporting, automation, ad hoc projects and much more. Reporting to Accounting Manager, this person will be a highly motivated team player with the ability to take charge of various accounting projects, while driving efficiencies and standardization.

You will work with teams across The Wonderful Company to ensure balances are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP. You will also have the opportunity to help train and mentor our FARM (Finance and Accounting Rotation Mentorship) program analysts as they transition through The Wonderful Company. This role provides an opportunity for a highly motivated accounting professional to help the POM Wonderful leadership team achieve its goals.

This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with anin-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

• Core Accounting Tasks:
  • Prepare and post standard journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and regulatory reports with extreme detail and accuracy.
  • Reconcile Oracle cash module on a weekly basis
  • Prepare monthly CO-OP reporting and tracking file and process CO-OP payments
  • Reconcile intercompany balances with BU partners at quarter-end
  • Prepare and distribute daily cash projections to Corporate Treasury; perform daily wires
  • Review and provide expense coding for invoices related to overhead departments (Finance, Exec, etc.)
  • Prepare monthly statutory GAAP Reporting and consolidation with TWC. Prepare eliminating JEs related to consolidation and upload TBs
• Annual Deliverables:
  • Prepare interim and year-end audit schedules
  • Complete annual tax package and file local property tax reporting requirements (ex: 571-L, 571-F, etc.)
• Mentor incoming FARM Analysts
• Process Automation & System Optimization:
  • Identify manual, repetitive accounting processes that can be streamlined through automation.
  • Utilize AI-enabled productivity tools to improve data analysis, documentation, and reporting.
  • Assist in developing automated reports, dashboards, and workflow improvements using Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or similar technologies.
  • Document automated processes and maintain appropriate internal controls and audit trails.
• Participate in special projects and perform other accounting related duties as needed

• 2 or more years of progressive experience in accounting at a mid to large sized company, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook & Word)
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel is required (demonstrated experience with Pivot Tables and xLookups; Macros knowledge a plus)
• Familiarity with data tools (SQL, Power BI, Python, or Tableau) and enterprise systems (Oracle R-12) is highly desired
• Working knowledge and understanding of financial statements, general ledger and accounting software systems
• Strong critical thinking, professional skepticism, and a continuous learning mindset focused on emerging AI accounting platforms
• Ability to meet deadlines and work quickly/accurately under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills to translate technical financial findings into clear narrative explanations for cross-functional business partners.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
