Job summary

POM Wonderful in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced accounting analyst to manage core accounting tasks, monthly closes, and regulatory reporting. You will leverage automation and BI tools to improve accuracy, speed, and data visibility across finance functions.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of accounting experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP), and familiarity with ERP systems and data tools.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience at a mid to large company.
  • Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with Pivot Tables and XLOOKUPs; macros a plus.
  • Familiarity with data tools and ERP systems (Oracle R-12) is highly desired.
  • Strong analytical thinking, accuracy under pressure, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post standard journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Reconcile Oracle cash module weekly and manage intercompany balances.
  • Prepare monthly CO-OP reporting and tracking, process CO-OP payments.
  • Prepare interim and year-end audit schedules and tax package.
  • Mentor incoming FARM Analysts and participate in automation initiatives.

Job Description
  • Core Accounting Tasks:
    • Prepare and post standard journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and regulatory reports with extreme detail and accuracy.
    • Reconcile Oracle cash module on a weekly basis
    • Prepare monthly CO-OP reporting and tracking file and process CO-OP payments
    • Reconcile intercompany balances with BU partners at quarter-end
    • Prepare and distribute daily cash projections to Corporate Treasury; perform daily wires
    • Review and provide expense coding for invoices related to overhead departments (Finance, Exec, etc.)
    • Prepare monthly statutory GAAP Reporting and consolidation with TWC. Prepare eliminating JEs related to consolidation and upload TBs
  • Annual Deliverables:
    • Prepare interim and year-end audit schedules
    • Complete annual tax package and file local property tax reporting requirements (ex: 571-L, 571-F, etc.)
  • Mentor incoming FARM Analysts
  • Process Automation & System Optimization:
    • Identify manual, repetitive accounting processes that can be streamlined through automation.
    • Utilize AI-enabled productivity tools to improve data analysis, documentation, and reporting.
    • Assist in developing automated reports, dashboards, and workflow improvements using Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or similar technologies.
    • Document automated processes and maintain appropriate internal controls and audit trails.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other accounting related duties as needed
Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of progressive experience in accounting at a mid to large sized company, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook & Word)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel is required (demonstrated experience with Pivot Tables and xLookups; Macros knowledge a plus)
  • Familiarity with data tools (SQL, Power BI, Python, or Tableau) and enterprise systems (Oracle R-12) is highly desired
  • Working knowledge and understanding of financial statements, general ledger and accounting software systems
  • Strong critical thinking, professional skepticism, and a continuous learning mindset focused on emerging AI accounting platforms
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work quickly/accurately under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to translate technical financial findings into clear narrative explanations for cross-functional business partners.
  • Should be energetic , a team player, goal oriented, and responsive
  • Ability to work independently
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and ERP Systems Experience

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
