Job Description and Duties

The Accounting and Reporting Bureau is recruiting a motivated self-starter seeking a challenging, exciting, and friendly working environment with a variety of work assignments at the Accounting Administrator I, Supervisor level. These positions are a 12‑month limited term position and may be extended to a maximum of 24‑months and/or may become permanent based on operational needs. Under the supervision and direction of the Accounting Administrator II, CCDD/CFSD Federal Reporting Section Bureau Chief, the Accounting Administrator I, Sup provides direction to and supervises staff in conjunction with the responsibility for the maintenance and uniformity of financial reporting for the revenues, expenditures, reimbursement, transfer of funds, and/or appropriations in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations. Management, coordination, and oversight of federal audits and compliance reporting for the Child Care and Development Funds (CCDF) and Child Welfare Services (CWS) grants.

This is a 12‑month limited term position and may be extended to a maximum of 24‑months and/or may become permanent based on operational needs.

Working Conditions

This work location is very convenient! The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I‑5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.

This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In‑person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N‑22‑25, the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required.

Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.
