Job summary

The Center for Youth and Family Solutions in Peoria, IL is seeking an Accountant to support accurate, timely, and compliant accounting operations. You will prepare financial transactions, reconciliations, payables, receivables, journal entries, and reports while aiding budget monitoring and audits.

As part of a collaborative Finance team, you will ensure proper documentation and internal controls, assist with month-end close, and help maintain audit readiness within a values-driven, inclusive

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or HS Diploma with 3 years of experience.
• Accounting experience preferred.
• Completion of DCFS background check and fingerprinting.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have an insured vehicle.
• Three years of driving experience with a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, code, and process accounts payable invoices per procedures and budgets.
• Review AP listings, verify payments, and assist with check/electronic payments.
• Code and reconcile accounts receivable activity and post revenue and receipts.
• Prepare monthly AR schedules and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Prepare and maintain journal entries and general ledger components.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve variances.
• Support monthly financial statements, budget monitoring, and grant reporting.
