Our people‑first culture empowers your expertise with opportunities for professional growth, cross‑company collaboration, and the satisfaction of supporting sustainable, efficient commercial building services nationwide through thoughtful financial integrity and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, allocation entries, accruals, prepaids, and adjustments in the general ledger.
  • Lead and ensure timely, accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, including financial statement preparation support.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and review balance sheet accounts; identify and resolve variances promptly.
  • Manage revenue and cost recognition for work‑in‑process (WIP) projects, including reconciliations, journal entries, and coordination with project managers, estimators, and operations teams.
  • Partner with the corporate assets team to record, maintain, depreciate, and reconcile fixed assets, capital leases, intangible assets, and related schedules.
  • Process payroll‑related journal entries and perform associated reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with shared services teams (e.g., accounts payable, cash applications) to verify transaction accuracy, reconcile subledgers, and ensure proper general ledger posting.
  • Review and analyze monthly income statement activity to confirm complete and accurate accruals, deferrals, and expense recognition.
  • Document, refine, and improve business processes, accounting policies, and internal controls to enhance financial integrity and efficiency.
  • Perform monthly financial analysis to identify trends, risks, cost‑saving opportunities, and performance improvement areas.
  • Engage with operations, project teams, and other departments to provide financial insights and support decision‑making.
  • Assist external auditors during annual audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Monitor departmental workflows, develop efficient procedures, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP, applicable laws/regulations, and internal policies while safeguarding financial data.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from executives, management, and stakeholders regarding financial results, variances, and ad‑hoc reporting.
  • Lead or support special projects, process improvements, and other tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity, project‑based, service‑oriented, or construction/mechanical environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification preferred.
  • Physical demands: Primarily sedentary office work; occasional travel for meetings or collaboration; standard office mobility (sitting, computer use, light lifting).
  • Work environment/safety: Professional office setting with hybrid options; adherence to ergonomic practices and corporate safety standards.
Required Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems/ERP platforms (e.g., Sage Intacct or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to detail‑oriented financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Collaborative team player with experience sharing knowledge and mentoring peers.
  • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
  • Advanced critical thinking, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment.
Benefits
