Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our Accounting team in Houston. You will support accurate revenue recognition, prepare reconciliations, and analyze contracts and billing activity to ensure GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of ASC 606, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. This hybrid on-site role offers a path for growth within a dynamic foodservice organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with emphasis on cash applications, reconciliations, or accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and internal control practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with large volumes of transactions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with Finance and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain revenue recognition schedules in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
• Review customer contracts, amendments, and billing arrangements for proper accounting treatment and revenue timing.
• Analyze revenue transactions and investigate discrepancies or variances.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities related to revenue accounts.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support revenue-related reporting.
• Partner with Billing, Operations, FP&A, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate invoice and revenue reporting.
• Assist with deferred revenue accounting, contract assets, and unbilled receivables analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries related to revenue accounting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and stronger internal controls within revenue accounting processes.
• Assist with implementation or enhancement of ERP/accounting systems and reporting tools as needed.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

The Role at a glance:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Accountant to join our Accounting team. Compensation Range

$29 to $32 per hour, based on experience.
