Job summary

Elior North America seeks a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join the Accounting team in Houston, focusing on ASC 606 revenue recognition, contract analysis, and accurate month-end close.

The role requires 2+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP or Oracle. This hybrid position works on-site Mon-Thu with remote Fridays, offering collaboration with Billing, Operations, and FP&A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with emphasis on cash applications, reconciliations, or accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and internal control practices.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems (SAP/Oracle).
• Excellent communication and collaboration with Finance and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain revenue recognition schedules in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
• Review customer contracts, amendments, and billing arrangements to ensure proper accounting treatment and revenue timing.
• Analyze revenue transactions and investigate discrepancies or variances.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities related to revenue accounts.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support revenue-related reporting.
• Partner with Billing, Operations, FP&A, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate invoice and revenue reporting.
• Assist with deferred revenue accounting, contract assets, and unbilled receivables analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries related to revenue accounting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and stronger internal controls within revenue accounting processes.
• Assist with implementation or enhancement of ERP/accounting systems and reporting tools as needed.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Role at a glance:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Accountant to join our Accounting team. What we're looking for:

Compensation Range

$29 to $32 per hour, based on experience.
