Job summary

Talentify in Austin, TX is seeking a detail-oriented staff accountant to manage AR and payroll processes and assist on the AP side. You’ll prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 1–3 years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. A collaborative environment with growth opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounts receivable: invoicing, payments, reconciliations and aging.
• Process payroll and payroll-related accounting.
• Assist with accounts payable as needed.
• Prepare journal entries and close support.
• Bank reconciliations and balance sheet account maintenance.
• Prepare financial statements and ad hoc analyses.
• Monitor processes, investigate discrepancies and propose improvements.
• Create and maintain accounting procedures and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors and partners.
