Job summary

ebs Recruiters is seeking an Accountant in Missouri to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, payroll administration, and timely month-end close. The role supports AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a collaborative, drama-free environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, 3+ years of experience, proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel, and familiarity with payroll systems such as iSolved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Three or more years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with payroll systems; experience with iSolved is a plus.
• Manufacturing industry experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Process payroll and review employee hours.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Complete monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L and balance sheets).
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Coordinate quarterly tax payments and maintain supporting documentation.
• Monitor financial data and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
• Support cash flow management and financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with process improvements and other accounting-related projects.
• Meet established deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in all work.
