Job summary

Varian Medical Systems is seeking an Accountant within the Interventional Solutions unit. You will support financial recordkeeping, month-end close, and data analysis for strategic decision-making.

The role involves VAT data handling for European operations and collaboration with auditors in a global oncology-focused environment. Hybrid or remote options are available, with a background in healthcare or medical devices advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance with 3–5 years of general accounting experience.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Self-motivated with an analytical mindset.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform month-end close processes.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide analysis to support decision-making and planning.
• Assist in data extraction/review for European VAT filings.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors for documentation and support.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Support cross-training to back up team members.
