InsCipher, LLC. is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant Intern – PT to assist with processing business transactions, account reconciliations, recording, and reporting under the guidance of the Financial Analyst.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting (or in progress) with 0-2 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of GAAP. This role offers hands-on learning in budgeting and controls within a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Reporting on financials to management for review and decision-making.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements and carrier payments with receipts.
• Prepare payments to carriers by verifying documentation.
• Develop, implement, and enforce budgets, policies, and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Build positive relationships with clients and co-workers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to streamline operations.

We’re looking for a talented, detail-oriented Accountant Intern – PT to join our team. Under the direction of the Financial Analyst this role will be responsible for processing business transactions, handling account reconciliation, recording, creating internal/external reporting, and performing basic accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting on financials, providing timely, accurate, and useful information to management for review and decision-making
• Working with principles to communicate and manage financial goals/deadlines for month-end processes
• Communicate with policyholders on refund issues as needed
• Reconcile monthly bank statements
• Collaborate with senior management to define and facilitate achievement of departmental goals
• Reconcile carrier payments with customer receipts
• Interpret data and identify trends to inform projects
• Compile, analyze, and present financial information to management
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to streamline operations
• Build positive, professional relationships with clients and co-workers
• Prepare payments to carriers by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
• Reconcile company credit cards and employee Perks cards
• Develop, implement, and enforce budgets, policies, and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
