Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions invites applications for an Accountant III in a hybrid role with offices across several U.S. locations. The position handles general, cash management, and cost accounting duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting for management and auditors.

  • CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and related documentation.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Produce components of basic corporate and subsidiary financial statements.
  • Collect, validate, and summarize accounting or statistical data.
  • Maintain allocation tables within the cost accounting system.
  • Prepare and analyze administrative cost and budget reports; investigate variances.
  • Coordinate with other plans and departments as needed.
  • Provide auditors with reconciliations, schedules, and adjustments.
  • Perform cost trend analysis and allocation updates.
  • Mentor new team members and assist with onboarding.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports for management.
  • Support operation of complex financial systems.
  • Contribute to design, development, and testing of financial system updates.
  • Assist Accountants I and II with routine functions.

Hybrid Role

Hybrid position (3 days/week in office) across several U.S. locations. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the chosen office.

Responsibilities

As an Accountant III, you will handle a variety of general, cash management/treasury, or cost accounting activities, including:

  • Preparing monthly journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and related documentation.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing all necessary documentation.
  • Accurately producing components of basic corporate and subsidiary financial statements.
  • Collecting, validating, and summarizing accounting or statistical data.

  • Providing internal and external auditors with reconciliations, schedules, and adjustments.

  • Supporting the operation of complex financial systems.
  • Contributing to the design, development, and testing of financial system updates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred certifications: CPA, CMA or MBA.

Work Environment
  • Primarily office‑based work.
  • Overtime and outside normal business hours may be required.
