Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with site finance groups, analyze financial and operational data, and communicate results to management.

The role involves performing system queries, reconciling items, and recommending practical process improvements to gain efficiencies. A strong foundation in GAAP and financial systems is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with six years of accounting/finance experience.
• Associate’s degree with four years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with two years of accounting experience.
• Master’s degree in accounting/finance or related area.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process.
• Collaborate with site finance groups and research and analysis among other duties.
• Analyze financial and operational data and communicate results timely and effectively to management and site finance personnel.
• Perform analysis and reconciliation through system queries, research, investigation of reconciling items and resolution.
• Review processes for improvements as changes occur or new requirements are added to the month-end close process.
• Use knowledge gained in making recommendations that are practical and which gain efficiencies.
• Perform other accounting and special projects assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
