Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Accountant II to support the Global Logistics accounting team in Wisconsin. You will assist with month-end close, code checks, and reconciliations, while leading freight-cost accounting and ensuring control compliance.

You will work in cross-functional groups to optimize processes, generate meaningful reports, and support auditors. A CPA or public accounting experience is preferred, with strong ERP and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience.
• Proficiency with large-scale ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close procedures and tasks including journal entries, reviewing invoices and coding, and reconciliations.
• Provide leadership and guidance for accounting of freight costs.
• Maintain accounting and controllership process compliance and controls.
• Support auditors with schedules and policy discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to improve processes.
• Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and streamline processes.
• Collect, analyze, and report quantitative data with meaningful reports.
• Adapt to changing finance needs and perform ad hoc financial analysis.
• Support Global Logistics Accounting Manager on key projects.

Your Role on Our Team

As an Accountant II, you will support the Global Logistics accounting team at Milwaukee Tool.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with several month-end close procedures and tasks including preparing journal entries, reviewing invoices and coding, and performing account reconciliations.
• Provide leadership, support, and guidance for all accounting aspects of freight costs.
• Maintain appropriate Accounting and Controllership department process compliance and controls.
• Support internal and external auditors through the preparation of schedules and discussion of accounting policies and business practices.
• Work in cross-functional groups to create more efficient and accurate business processes.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous improvement. Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and streamline processes.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data and create meaningful reports.
• Demonstrate agility by adapting to changing needs of the finance and operational departments, able to create meaningful ad hoc “what if” financial analysis.
• Support the Global Logistics Accounting Manager on key projects.

The Tools You’ll Need To Have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience required.
• Proficiency with large scale ERP required.
• Proficiency with Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint required.

The Other Tools We’d Like To See

• Experience in Supply Chain preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred.
• Public accounting experience or CPA is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
