Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Accountant II to support the Global Logistics accounting team in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on month-end close activities, journal entries, and robust data analysis to drive efficient freight cost accounting and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting, 2+ years of corporate accounting, and strong ERP/Excel skills, with preference for supply chain exposure and CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience.
• Proficiency with large scale ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint.
• Experience in Supply Chain preferred.
• Public accounting experience or CPA preferred.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close procedures: journal entries, invoice reviews, coding, and reconciliations.
• Provide leadership and guidance for accounting of freight costs.
• Maintain compliance and controls in the Controllership department.
• Support auditors with schedules and accounting policy discussions.
• Collaborate in cross-functional groups to streamline processes.
• Identify non-value-added activities and pursue continuous process improvement.
• Collect, analyze, and report quantitative data for meaningful insights.
• Assist Global Logistics Accounting Manager on key projects.
