Avidex, a leading AV/IT integration company in Cary, NC, is seeking an Accountant II to strengthen our Finance team. You will support month-end close, prepare reconciliations, and provide financial analysis to aid management and auditors.

The role emphasizes internal controls, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates should have a bachelor’s in accounting and GAAP knowledge, with ERP experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close activities, including account analysis and journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyses to validate account accuracy.
• Investigate account activity, variances, aged items, and discrepancies through resolution.
• Prepare financial analysis for management and external auditors.
• Respond to financial inquiries from management and internal stakeholders.
• Provide data and analysis to support internal control assessments and compliance activities.
• Identify and support opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting matters.
