Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Month-End & Year-End Close: post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, variance analyses.
  • Account Reconciliation: monthly reconciliations for balance sheet, bank, intercompany, fixed assets.
  • Financial Reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly, annual statements and management packs.
  • Accounts Receivable: billing, posting, credit limits and collections to protect cash flow.
  • Compliance & Audits: support audits, gather docs, assist with tax schedules.
  • Fixed Assets & Inventory: manage depreciation, additions, disposals or inventory schedules.

Description

The Accountant II will be responsible for the general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, sales tax, account reconciliations and accounts receivable. Responsibilities include compliance with US GAAP standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-End & Year-End Close: Responsible for monthly and annual financial closing process, including preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and variance analyses.
  • Account Reconciliation: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, bank statements, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets. Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and management reporting packages.
  • Accounts Receivable: Customer billing, payment posting, credit limits, and collections to protect cash flow.
  • Compliance & Audits: Serve as a point of contact for external and internal auditors. Prepare audit schedules, gather supporting documentation, and support tax filing schedules.
  • Fixed Assets & Inventory: Manage fixed asset ledgers (depreciation, additions, disposals) and/or oversee inventory accounting schedules where applicable.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive professional accounting experience (corporate accounting or public accounting background).
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems.
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP.
Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present financial insights to non‑finance partners. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadline schedules, and work independently with minimal supervision. Communication and collaboration.

Normal for an office & warehouse environment.
