General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks an Accountant II to support financial reporting, GL accounting, and month-end close processes. The role requires an associate degree with 2–4 years of experience, CPA preferred.

You will maintain financial records, prepare balance sheets and P&L statements, and analyze costs to forecast future revenues and expenses, using strong Excel and GAAP knowledge.

Qualificações

  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree with 2–4 years' experience or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills and solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsabilidades

  • Maintains financial records and ensures accurate recording of transactions.
  • Reconciles subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger and ensures ledger accuracy.
  • Prepares balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Analyzes costs, revenues and obligations to forecast future revenues/expenses.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
  • Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Finance or Accounting degree preferred
  • Additional certifications: CPA preferred
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Account reconciliation. Balance sheet analysis. Bank reconciliation. Calculate depreciation. Financial accounting. Financial reporting. General ledger accounting. Month-end close. Quarter-end close. Revenue recognition. Spreadsheets. Year-end close. GAAP standards. Accounting software.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
