General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in California is seeking an accounting professional to perform general accounting activities, maintain ledgers, and prepare financial statements including balance sheets and profit and loss statements. The role also provides financial support, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis of variances to ensure accurate reporting.
Required education: Associate's Degree and 2–4 years of experience (Equivalent combinations accepted); CPA preferred.

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit‑and‑loss statements and capital expenditure schedules. Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget. Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
