EDEN Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Accountant II to perform GAAP-based accounting for the organization's programs and projects.
This role collaborates with multiple departments and external partners to ensure compliance with budgets, audits, and reporting requirements. Key duties include assisting with annual budgets, preparing monthly billings and contract billing, month-end statements, reconciliations, and various forecasting and cost allocations.
The Accountant II is responsible for conducting accounting operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for accounting entities or special projects conducted by EDEN. This position works closely with all departments within the agency as well as our partners to ensure compliance with all programs and audit requirements.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and five years of accounting experience in public accounting or industry preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; talk or hear, in person, in meetings and by telephone; use hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; use fingers to type; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; and perform other motions including bending and stooping. The nature of work requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. The ability to drive a motorized vehicle is also required. The majority of this job's duties are performed at headquarters although the job requires occasional local travel to off-site locations and/or meetings. The majority of work is performed in a climate-controlled general office environment with minimal noise. Hours of work may exceed normal business hours during peak periods. Potential job conditions include eyestrain from extensive computer use.
