Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking an accountant to prepare statutory financial reports and state filings for multiple insurance entities. You will research rules, post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and coordinate data with other teams to ensure accurate quarterly and annual statements.

You will maintain state reporting databases, process Plan-to-Plan payments, and prepare intercompany settlements, balancing statements and completing required compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management or 4 years accounting experience.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for preparing various statutory financial reports, quarterly and annual statements for an external audience. This position is also responsible for the quarterly and annual state reporting for various insurance companies. Compilation process involves researching and interpreting rules and regulations, advanced analysis of the financial information, posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, data input to various forms, coordinating the data compilation with other areas, and responding to escalated questions or issues.

Compensation

Compensation: $41,700.00 - $92,800.00
