Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation is hiring a billing analyst to review and verify billing information and setup for new and complex ASO accounts, preparing worksheets, ledger entries, and custom formats to support billing. The role reviews and processes weekly and monthly statements, applies adjustments, balances accounts, tracks payments, and escalates delinquencies.

It also covers self-billed group payments, exception reports, and annual renewals, with a 3-day in-office / 2-day remote hybrid

Qualifications

• College degree in business with accounting coursework and accounting experience.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with MS Access preferred.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and clear communicator.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify billing information and setup for new and complex ASO accounts.
• Prepare worksheet ledgers, database entries, and custom formats to support billing.
• Review and process weekly and monthly billing and settlement statements; apply adjustments and balance accounts.
• Track payments, produce journal entries, and escalate/delinquency collections as needed.
• Review admin payments for self-billed groups to identify/morrect membership mismatches.
• Monitor and clear exception reports; process account renewals and terminations.
• Document processes and procedures.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for reviewing and verifying the billing information and setup for new and complex aso accounts meet customer requirements, including preparing worksheet ledgers, database entries, and custom formats needed to support billing. Reviewing and processing weekly and monthly billing and settlement statements, including applying and verifying adjustments and balancing accounts. Tracking payments, producing necessary journal entries, and escalating or initiating collection on delinquencies. Reviewing administration payments for self-billed groups to identify and correct membership mismatches. Monitoring and clearing exception reports. Processing account annual renewals and terminations/bankruptcies. Documenting processes and procedures.

Job Requirements

• College degree in business with accounting coursework and 1 year of accounting experience or 5 years accounting experience.
• MS Office including Word and Excel.
• Analytical skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Clear, concise communication with good grammar, appropriate word choice.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Experience with MS Access.
• Experience with HCSC financial reporting systems.
• Experience with statutory accounting.

This is a Flex (Hybrid) role: 3 days in office; 2 days remote.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range $41,700.00 - $92,800.00 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
