Axiom Care is hiring an Accounting Specialist to maintain financial records, reconcile accounts, and support the CFO and Accounting Manager across multiple entities in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on accuracy, GAAP compliance, and timely financial reporting.
The Accountant I will contribute to monthly closes, assist with billing and collections, and ensure documentation is complete for audits and internal controls.
Axiom Care is a fast‑paced, rapidly growing substance abuse treatment and sober living housing provider with locations in the Phoenix metro area and Apache Junction. We primarily serve low‑income and justice‑involved individuals who are seeking to change their life for the better. We achieve this by offering multiple levels of care along with medical services, evidence‑based professional counseling, case management, housing assistance, employment assistance, and more.
Shift: Monday - Friday 8 hours (Full-time- Exempt)
Accountant I responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports for several entities, performing account reconciliations, assisting the billing department with collections and reporting, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. You will also be assisting the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager as needed and responding to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.
To be successful as an Accounting Specialist, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). An outstanding Staff Accountant should also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
