The Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector’s Office is seeking an Accountant I to join our team in Oklahoma City. This role supports accounting, payroll, auditing, travel, fleet operations, and administrative processes to promote accountability and transparency in state government.
You will handle timesheets for about 60 employees, process invoices, and reconcile data with Workday while maintaining leave records and ensuring compliance with state policies.

As an Accountant I, you'll be an important part of that team. You'll work with accounting information, employee records, billing, travel, fleet operations, financial systems, and administrative processes. You'll also work with audit teams and agency leadership, giving you exposure to a broad range of financial and operational activities.
This is more than entering numbers into a system. Your attention to detail helps our agency operate effectively and deliver on its mission.

Working with the Deputy State Auditor and Comptroller, you'll provide accounting, financial, and operational support across the agency.
We're looking for someone who is accurate, organized, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of their work.
Three years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, office management, or a related field is preferred, particularly experience involving state government.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, with one year of college substituting for one year of required experience.
