Job summary

True Oil LLC is seeking an accounting-focused professional for a full-time, on-site role in Casper, WY. You'll help support the accounting team, perform reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial entries for the sister company Eighty-Eight Oil LLC.

Responsibilities include monthly close participation, routine reporting (sales tax, etc.), and adherence to internal controls. Prior accounting knowledge and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role, with opportunity for

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of debits and credits.
• Ability to read invoices and financial statements.
• Ability to communicate professionally.
• Ability to calculate financial amounts.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to sister company Eighty-Eight Oil LLC.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Perform transactional accounting entries.
• Prepare routine reports (e.g., sales tax).
• Verify that controls and processes have been followed.
• Ensure all entries are adequately supported per procedures.
• Collaborate with operations and other stakeholders to problem-solve.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.

What You'll Do:

• Provide support to our sister company Eighty-Eight Oil LLC.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Performstransactional accounting entries.
• Prepare routine reports i.e. sales tax.
• Verify that controls and processes have been followed.
• Ensure all entries are adequately supported, as per procedures.
• Work with operations, other shared services, and other stakeholders to problem solve.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes to ensure all relevant data has been captured in appropriate time period.
• Participate in other projects assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• An associate’s degree in accounting and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in an accounting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Basic accounting knowledge; debits and credits.
• Basic fixed assets understanding.
• Ability to read professional documents (invoices, various financial statements, emails).
• Ability to correspond in an informative and professional manner.
• Ability to calculate financial amounts and indicators.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Oil and gas experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
