Job summary

Molo Companies, based in Dubuque, IA, seeks an Accountant to join our finance team. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close support, and assist with financial statements while working closely with other departments.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, solid GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP). CPA candidacy is a plus, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA candidate or CPA certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end close processes.
• Perform daily banking activities, including reconciling bank accounts and monitoring cash balances.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Analyze financial data and create reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
• Assist with audits and tax filings as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
