Job summary

MPI is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports. They will support month-end and year-end close processes and provide financial insights to support business decisions.

This client is a well-established organization known for delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service to a broad consumer base.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and financial records.
Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
Assist with month end and year end close processes.
Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
Generate financial statements and management reports.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Support external audits and provide required documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
