Job summary

Mountain America Credit Union seeks an Accountant in Sandy, Utah to balance, reconcile and review general ledger accounts and supporting schedules. You will assist with month-end close, prepare journal entries, and support senior accountants on various projects within the accounting department.

The role requires at least two years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance, and proficiency with Excel and Workday Financials.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience reconciling cash and general ledger accounts.
• Knowledge of financial statement line items, GL and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile general ledger accounts and other accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close.
• Support senior accountants and management with projects.
• Identify reconciling items and escalate aging issues timely.
• Collaborate with team on process improvements and efficiencies.
