We are looking for a Accountant/Fiscal Analyst, who will be responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and collections of agency accounts receivables as well as Provider related debt collections, maintaining aging of AR and gathering, printing, filing and recording payments according to revenue detail reports.
- Responsible for the set-up, collections, and maintenance of all agency accounts receivable. Process all of the agency's IDT's for donated fund revenue, MIAP (counties) invoices and Program Integrity audit invoices. Review and accept the electronic 1158 forms from program areas. Post provider payments including but not limited to the following debt types: Medicaid overpayments, cost settlements, audit of nursing homes, state agencies, HMS audits and permit day fines. This position is also responsible for assisting manager with cross training and training of new employees. Employee also reviews signed donated funds contracts to ensure compliance with contractual terms and maintenance of appropriate documentation.
- Maintains proper aging of accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of debts. This includes monitoring of posted payments and other financial transactions to ensure accurate reduction of debt, and conducting research as required. Also includes verification and documentation receivables related GLA's (debits/credits) in MMIS.
- Newly established receivables should be reconciled in ARL and SCEIS upon set-up of customer file folders to ensure amounts are the same in both systems. All payments posted to ledger sheets in file should be reconciled in both systems (ARL and SCEIS) to confirm balances within 3 business days of posting.
- Interacts professionally internally and externally to provide citizens, peers, providers, vendors, and recipients with information to address inquiries regarding services provided by SCDHHS or our affiliates’. Additionally, properly deal with and help resolve any customer complaints by phone, electronically or face to face.
- Each employee must also attend at least 20 hours of professional development courses, conferences or webinars in a given fiscal year.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the specified timeframe and according to the directions made available at the time of the assignment.

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field or professional job experience directly related such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.
