As an Accountant & Financial Planner, you will play a key role in bookkeeping and financial reporting, preparing the candidate for financial planning and analysis (FP&A). This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop experience in private Equity investment strategies and Opportunity Zone tax compliance.

We are looking for someone who is optimistic with a high level of intellectual curiosity, a self-starter with strong initiative, and a passion for learning and understanding the regulatory requirements of private equity investing in Opportunity Zones. If you bring with you an understanding of tax compliance, all the better.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial statement preparation.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Support financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Gain knowledge in private equity investing and tax compliance, assisting with reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with senior leadership to improve financial processes and systems.
• Assist in tax planning efforts as needed.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial models and assess investment opportunities.
• Participate in special projects related to corporate finance and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Preferred 2+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Excel.
• Interest in financial planning, investment analysis, and tax/compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
