Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3-7 years of cost/inventory accounting experience in manufacturing, or 2-3 years of public accounting audit in manufacturing/inventory.
• Corporate/Operational/SOX audit support experience.
• Strong Excel (pivot tables) skills.

• Support annual physical inventory planning, execution and reconciliation.

Kforce's client in Raleigh, NC is seeking a hybrid opportunity for a Cost/Inventory Accountant with 2-4 years of Public Accounting Audits with manufacturing/inventory audit clientele. • Supports established products and helps with newly launched products
• Will help with process improvements, reporting automation, and enhanced business insights
• Cost development with regards to materials, finished goods, and packaging
• Will assist with purchase price variances, and inventory variances
• Monitor inventory balances/valuation, obsolescence, inventory tracking files and manufacturing cost documentation
• Support monthly close activities related to inventory, manufacturing, and supply chain accounting

• Assist with Customs valuation reporting and compliance requirements
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOX controls, and records retention requirements
• Automate and/or identify opportunities to reduce manual activities and improve close efficiency
• Will work with other departments and collaborate with Supply Planning, Quality, Technical Operations, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Accounting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3-7 years of corporate cost accounting and/or inventory accounting experience within manufacturing, or 2-3 years of public accounting audit experience having audited manufacturing/physical inventory clients
• Corporate/Operational/SOX audit support experience
• SAP, TM1 experience & Power BI experience a plus
• Strong Excel (pivot tables) experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
