Talent Edge Recruiting in Pacific Palisades, CA is seeking a Construction Accountant for a stable, family-owned luxury residential general contractor. You will support 12 active projects with budgets from $3M to $10M+, using QuickBooks and upcoming integrated construction software.

Responsibilities include AP/AR, payroll, job costing, lien waivers, 1099s, and project documentation while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. Hybrid schedule: 1 day in office / 4 days remote.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience working for a General Contractor is REQUIRED.
• Strong job costing and project cost tracking experience.
• Experience managing lien waivers and subcontractor documentation.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Experience with subcontractor agreements, W-9s, and 1099 preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Prepare and submit bank draw packages.
• Manage insurance reporting requirements.
• Process weekly hourly payroll.

• Maintain subcontractor agreements and W-9s.
• Prepare annual 1099s.
• Support approximately 12 active luxury residential projects simultaneously.
• Work on custom homes ranging from ~3,000 sq ft to $10M+ estates.
• Assist with transition to integrated construction accounting software.

For more than three decades, the company has built exceptional custom homes throughout Los Angeles, managing projects ranging from $3M to $10M+ that typically span one to three years.

What You'll Do

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of construction accounting experience
• Experience working for a General Contractor is REQUIRED
• Strong job costing and project cost tracking experience
• Experience managing lien waivers and subcontractor documentation
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
• Experience with real estate or construction accounting software in addition to QuickBooks is a plus
• Experience with subcontractor agreements, W-9s, and 1099 preparation
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
